Featured Critter
California Kingsnake
This California Kingsnake is available for adoption. Isn't he handsome? With proper care, he could live to be over twenty years old! Please note, you must be an adult (or 16 with parental supervision and consent) and have previous experience with reptiles in order to be considered as a potential adopter. Reptiles have many care requirements, so our reptile adoption policies are a bit more strict. To see other critters in need of homes, click the "Adoptable Critters" button above.

Adopt A Critter
New critters will be added to this page soon. Taking care of all the critters is time-consuming, and we often don't even get time to post their pictures before they're adopted! We take in new animals all the time, so please call us at (317) 585-9036, if there is a specific animal you are looking for. Odds are, we will have one in rescue. Please do contact us prior to going to a pet store. There are so many great animals in need of homes, and you could rescue one!
If you are interested in adopting a critter:
Please click the links for our Adoption Application and our
Adoption Contract.
Fill out both documents and mail them to A Critter's Chance, 11057 Allisonville Road, PMB431, Fishers, IN 46038. After receiving the information, we will contact
you to discuss the adoption. Please note, your application will be reviewed and references will be checked. It is very helpful to us if you can provide references
from your vet's office or other animal-related organizations. We also require a home visit. Submission of an application is not a guarantee of approval. We take great care
to place animals in homes that will be appropriate for the animal and the family it is going to. Please understand, our screening process is in place to assist
the animals and the families who adopt them. It is very disappointing to adopt a new pet, only to find out it does not suit your family. It is also difficult
for the animals to be moved from home to home due to failed adoptions. We screen well up front in an attempt to prevent future disappointments or problems.
Become pre-approved to adopt!
If you think you may be interested in adopting one of our critters in the future, don't wait to submit your application and contract!
You can fill them out and mail them now. When we receive your information, we will call you to discuss the species of animal
you are interested in. At this time, assuming everything goes well with our screening process, we can put you on our pre-approved list of adopters.
When an animal comes to us that you are interested in adopting, the screening process is already complete. This speeds up the adoption process.
Please note, we DO NOT adopt out wildlife!! Native wildlife is released back into their natural habitat.
Cockatiels
These cockatiels were rescued from a neglect situation and are now singing beautiful songs for their foster mom! She says they make beautiful sounds! The three gray ones are males. We're not sure of the sex of the yellow/white one. They can be friendly and just need someone to love and spend some time with them. They all get along and can be adopted in pairs, alone, or all four together.

Three Stray Goats (Males) Believe or not, these three goats were found roaming stray! They need a permanent home. Coal is the black one. Casper, the friendly goat, is the white one. Cali is the calico-colored one. He has a cute overbite! Please contact us, if you are interested in providing them a home. They must be adopted together.
